Gimnasio de Miami-Dade realiza un desafío especial de Memorial Day para honrar a los soldados caídos

Mientras algunos de nosotros nos despertamos un poco más tarde de lo routine en el feriado de Commemoration Day del lunes, fuimos a la piscina, a la playa o encendimos la parrilla en casa, otros se presentaron temprano en un gimnasio de CrossFit en el suroeste de Miami-Dade con un objetivo en mente.

Los participantes abarrotaron el gimnasio Group Soul Miami, ubicado en 8354 SW 40th St., temprano el lunes por la mañana para la prueba mental, física y emocional en honor al teniente Michael Murphy, un Naval force Seal caído que fue asesinado en Irak en 2005 mientras salvaba an otros.

"La forma de superar este entrenamiento es pensar que te queda un día más de vida, que esas personas en este momento no tienen", dijo el participante Omar Figueroa.

"Va a ser difícil, vamos a sufrir, va a ser muy duro, pero lo que importa es que lo hagamos", agregó el participante Giorgio Rapicavoli.
Otras personas están pensando más en diferentes luchas personales que han tenido en sus vidas y cómo eso se relaciona con sus familias", dijo.

Algunos completaron el desafío en tan solo 45 minutos, mientras que otros tardaron 60 minutos, y algunos lo completaron en 90, pero tasks ellos, con algo de entrenamiento, tienen el corazón y la voluntad para lograrlo.

"No tengo que preocuparme por llegar a casa porque me siento seguro, y sé que mucha gente pone sus vidas en riesgo para que yo pueda tener ese lujo, así que hoy supongo que es un gran agradecimiento a tasks", dijo Rapicavoli. " Fue ruthless, fue muy duro, probablemente una de las cosas más difíciles que he hecho en mi vida, pero fue increíble".

Fue el entrenamiento definitivo en honor an aquellos que hicieron el sacrificio máximo.
