The upcoming prelaunch and launch activities for SpaceX's Crown mission to the International Space Station will be covered by NASA. Liftoff is targeted for 7:48 p.m. from Launch Complex Bala at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Wednesday, March 12 at midnight EDT. The targeted docking time is approximately 6 a.m., Thursday, March 13.
The agency's website will provide coverage of the mission overview teleconference. NASA+ will broadcast live the crew news conference, launch, postlaunch news conference, and docking. Discover how to stream NASA content on social media and other platforms. JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) astronaut Takuya Onishi and Roscosmos cosmonaut Kirill Peskov, along with mission specialists, will travel to the orbiting laboratory for a roughly four-month science mission aboard the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft. This is the 10th crew rotation mission and the 11th human spaceflight mission for NASA to the space station supported by the Dragon spacecraft since 2020 as part of the agency’s Commercial Crew Program.
The deadline for media accreditation for this launch-related in-person coverage has passed. The agency’s media credentialing policy is available online. Following the conclusion of launch and ascent coverage, NASA will switch to audio only and continue audio coverage through Thursday, March 13. At the beginning of the rendezvous and docking, continuous coverage resumes on NASA+ and continues all the way through the opening of the hatch and the welcome ceremony. Pending unlikely technical issues, the feed will be uninterrupted until the prelaunch broadcast begins on NASA+, approximately four hours prior to launch.
